Hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose) occurs when the level of glucose in the blood, drops below a certain point.   A number of symptoms occur which usually disappear within 10 to 15 minutes of eating sugar.  The symptoms can include some or all of the following paleness, trembling, perspiration, feeling weak, rapid heartbeat, feeling hungry and agitated, poor concentration, blurred vision and even a temporary loss of consciousness.

Hypoglycaemia is generally caused by too much Insulin in the blood, but there are other diseases that can cause hypoglycaemic episodes; in non diabetic patients, some of these would be  a tumour (often benign) in the pancreas, Addison's disease, a weakened pituitary gland, severely reduced liver function, fasting or malnutrition.  Reactive Hypoglycaemia is possibly the most common reason for hypoglycaemia in non-diabetics caused by an overproduction of insulin from the pancreas after eating a large amount of carbohydrates. This is most common in overweight people and those with Type 2 diabetes; there is some evidence to suggest that reactive hypoglycaemia can precede Type 2 diabetes.

The dietary advice for hypoglycemia is basically the same as for Diabetes.  This involves taking the correct (raw) fats daily and avoiding processed, heated oils and fats such as margarine, cooked vegetable oils,  we recommend Hemp Oil, please read the article Diabetes - Deadly Deception for dietary advice, this information may surprise or shock you!

Plant Sterols and Sterolins have a tendency to stabilise blood sugar levels, reducing the severity of the dips in blood sugar levels.  Sterols and sterolins may be grown at home – see our Sprouting Article, or purchased as a synergistic blend of young shoots of seeds and beans, freeze dried with all live enzymes intact - new product available in February.

Chromium helps blood sugar problems, and supplemental chromium is sensible at 200 mcgs daily. Chromium is the essential part of Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF) and has a vital role to play in carbohydrate metabolism and Insulin metabolism and balance.  Most people receive 30mcg of chromium from their diet, well below the optimum dose of 200mcg. Please note that there is often little relationship between RDA and optimum levels, and a lot of sickness can occur at levels above the RDA of any nutrient.   However, since Food State Chromium is better absorbed and assimilated, 100 mcg a day in this form, may be optimal, although double this dose could be taken for a few weeks. Experiment as individual needs vary. Soil deficiencies of chromium are widespread.

Studies have shown that Chlorella tends to normalise blood sugar making it a perfect natural remedy for Hypoglycemia.  This tiny plant contains the highest known quantity of chlorophyll within a natural source. Chlorophyll is the 'green blood' of all plant life and has a chemical structure very similar to haemoglobin, our own red blood molecules. Chlorophyll carries oxygen around the blood supply and builds the red blood cell count. It cleanses and purifies the blood stream.  Chlorella contains more than 20 vitamins and minerals, - all in highly 'bio-available’ form.   Unlike synthetically produced supplements, the vitamins and minerals found in chlorella are all present in a form that the human body was designed to digest and absorb easily and completely.

Removal of Blocks to Health, Healing and Wellness

We have defined the major blocks to health improvement which should be considered the number one priority for resolution before one goes on to a more specific healing regimen such as that detailed in the programme above. By removing these blocks one will feel stronger and more prepared for a specific programme and will achieve far greater success with it. Please read this essential article here
