Nutritional Protection From Radioactive Fallout
Iodine - If there is enough non-radioactive iodine in our bodies, the radioactive iodine fallout has nowhere to bind in our bodies. It will pass through us, leaving our bodies unharmed. It is important to ensure that we have adequate iodine levels BEFORE this fallout hits - judge personal dose level from the info below.
Radioactive materials, plutonium in particular, affect the deepest level of the human being—bone marrow, DNA, genetic structure, inner organs. Iodine will do nothing to protect a person from uranium, cesium or plutonium radiation exposure. We recommend the following remedy combination to provide a broad spectrum approach to protection from these other aspects of radioactive fallout, use as directed on the container unless specified here.
Sodium Bicarbonate - 1 teaspoon, in a glass of water, daily. This dose is a good long term measure for general health. In times of contamination with radiation you can use up to 1 teaspoon, in a glass of water, 3 times a day for up to 2 weeks (but no longer as the body can become too alkaline - a dangerous condition in itself). After 2 weeks revert to 1 teaspoon daily. Sodium Bicarbonate can bind with uranium in the kidneys (the organs most likely to be damaged by radioactive uranium) and convert it to uranium bicarbonate that is flushed out in the urine. Sodium Bicarbonate is easily obtained from grocery stores. It is sometimes referred to as baking soda, and is easily confused with baking powder (which is a mixture of sodium bicarbonate and citric acid), DO NOT use baking powder.
Seagreens - 3 capsules, twice daily: helps prevent re-absorption of particles into bowel and so aids elimination from the body.
Colloidal Minerals & Trace Elements 3 capsules twice daily: Keeping minerals and trace elements high helps to reduce absorption of radioactive minerals into the cells, tissues and bones.
Mag Sea Pure
Celtic Ocean Sea Salt - 1 teaspoon daily, dissolved in 4 pints (1.8 litres) of water and drunk over the course of the day. If you can not manage 4 pints a day then whatever you can, but this amount of water will help to flush out contamination from body, and is the same amount as is generally recommended for long term good health.
R-Alpha Lipoic Acid - a potent anti-oxidant that also one of a group of remedies (see DCD below) for heavy metal detox. Radioactive heavy metals include uranium, strontium and plutonium. Radiation damages cells largely via free-radical attack, antioxidants help to electronically reduce/prevent this damage.
Germanium with Colloidal Minerals - a mother anti-oxidant that provides free electrons to immediately help protect from radiation damage.

It is worth noting that it is mostly the long term effects of radiation that do the damage, so even if people do not get the remeidies into them straight away (with the exception of iodine, which is essential NOW) later treatment will help the body to eliminate absorbed radiation and climb out of the radiation sickness.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) stated July 1, 1998 in USE OF POTASSIUM IODIDE IN EMERGENCY RESPONSE:
"Potassium iodate, if taken in time, blocks the thyroid gland's uptake of radioactive iodine and thus could help prevent thyroid cancers and other diseases that might otherwise be caused by exposure to airborne radioactive iodine that could be dispersed in a nuclear accident."
Because of the nuclear event in Japan, radioactive iodine is being released, which can damage your thyroid gland or even cause thyroid cancer. This may be prevented by taking Lugol's iodine solution (7%). Health experts now estimate that the greatest health concerns affecting the largest number of people from a nuclear event anywhere in the world, will be from the release of Radioactive Iodine 131 that is then carried downwind for maybe even thousands of miles once it gets to the Global Jet Streams.
Radioactive Iodine—The bad Iodine (131-I) is always released in any type of nuclear reaction. It can be in the form of a gas or particle and will be taken up by the thyroid either by ingestion i.e. breathing the gas or particle, drinking or eating. Once in the body it will lodge in the thyroid and do irreparable damage.
What age groups of the population are most at risk?
All are at risk if the release is heavy. However, the older you are, the higher the absorbed radioactive dose has to be to cause immediate damage. Young children, babies, newborns and babies in the womb will be affected first and suffer most from 131-I poisoning. The younger the child, the worse the damage will be. Medical Corps and other health experts agree: The greatest danger from Radioactive Iodine is to the thyroid glands of children. If there is a nuclear event and fallout is headed your way then Lugol's Iodine will saturate a healthy thyroid with "good Iodine” which will prevent the thyroid from absorbing 131-I "the bad Iodine”. If there is a nuclear event—and you are caught in fallout—and your thyroid is not "blocked” with good Iodine then your thyroid will absorb the radioactive Iodine. Your thyroid does not know the difference between good Iodine and Radioactive Iodine. Your thyroid runs on iodine and will absorb all it can until it is absolutely full. This fullness is called saturation or blockade. However, your thyroid does not know the difference between good iodine and bad iodine. Good iodine is taken up by the thyroid in the form of potassium iodate or potassium iodide. Bad iodine, I-131, is a radioisotope of iodine which is produced in nuclear reactions such as a bomb or nuclear power plant. If you are caught unprotected and downwind from a nuclear reaction and the plume or cloud of fallout reaches you, your thyroid will absorb this bad iodine, and it is not going to go away.
Now that your thyroid has absorbed the bad iodine, is there anything you can do to clean the thyroid out?
There is absolutely zero chance that this disaster in progress is going to stop now or any time soon, so precautions need to be taken right away by every citizen in the northern hemisphere that is downwind and on the track of the jet stream that will quickly carry radioactive materials first to North America then to Europe and beyond to Russia. This is all going to be much worse than people want to believe, so rush to get your iodine right now! Get your hands on whatever you can for in a few days there will be no iodine to have of any type.
Though the United States, Canadian and European governments are not warning their citizens of the dangers that will drop down on them from the jet stream, with the true size of the catastrophe starting to take shape populations downwind across the entire northern hemisphere had better start becoming concerned enough to secure supplies of iodine to protect themselves from one large part of the radioactive dangers.
Humans tolerate large doses of iodine so the very high dosages recommended for protection for radioactive iodine are not usually a problem except for those who already have serious problems with their thyroids, which is quite a lot of people considering how many are deficient in this vital nutrient. The government’s recommendation of a onetime pulse dose might perhaps be appropriate when confronted with a nuclear blast but for chronic long term exposure, which is suggested with what is in progress in Japan, calls for different formula and dosages through time.
Dr. Michael B. Schachter says, "The treatment dose when a person is iodine insufficient is generally between 12.5 mg and 50 mg daily. Preliminary research indicates that if a person is iodine insufficient, it takes about three months to become iodine sufficient while ingesting a dosage of 50 mg of iodine daily and a year to achieve that while ingesting a dosage of 12.5 mg of iodine daily.
When treating life-threatening diseases or threats we do not have months to fool around with low dosages. We need to up iodine levels quickly. And we need to get it concentrated to certain tissues or organs. Just to give you an idea of how high iodine dosages have been taken we have to revisit the 1930s when iodine was still a universal medicine present in the U.S. Pharmacopeia and used at much higher dosages than anyone even dreams of using today. The usual dose for treatment back then was 300 mgs (75 drops of 7% strength Lugol’s) to 1 gm (1000 mg, 250 drops).
There will be little or no time to consult doctors and other health care practitioners to get the proper dosage. The standard dose for potassium iodide during radiation emergencies: For infants, babies and children, Iodine is administered for exposure of 5 centigrays (cGy) or more. For birth through 1 month, 16 mg can be administered; for 1 month through 3 years, 32 mg can be administered; for 3-12 years, 65 mg can be administered; for adolescents ages 12-18 years, 65 mg can be administered (or up to 120 mg if the adolescent is approaching adult size). We consider this "standard" one time dose to be woefully inadequate.
It normal conditions it is important to remember that one should not shoot straight up to these dosage levels; rather, start at low dosages and monitor for detoxification reactions, which will be less if sodium bicarbonate and other substances are used in conjunction with it. But in emergencies involving radiation we have not the luxury of time so one has to get iodine levels up sharply, and keep them up. Dr. Brownstein said he was using 200-300 mg with his prostate and breast cancer patients, and those who have metastases needing the highest dosages.
These high dosages of potassium iodine are necessary during an emergency but they do not come without some risk of side effects, which include: severe allergic reactions (rash, hives, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips or tongue), black, tarry stools, confusion, fever, irregular heartbeat, metallic taste in the mouth, mouth sores, numbness or tingling of the hands or feet, skin rash, stomach pains, swelling in the neck or throat, unusual tiredness, weakness. We would point out that even at high doses, these side effects can be considered rare. Once whole body iodine sufficiency is reached one will have a consistently runny nose, one can then reduce the dose accordingly. Excess Iodine, once full body sufficiency is obtained, is naturally excreted from the body.
Don’t Trust Governments Recommendations
Dr. John W. Gofman, Professor Emeritus of Molecular and Cell Biology in the University of California at Berkeley, has written extensively about the effort to belittle the menace of low-level radiation. People associated with the nuclear and medical industries assert falsely, "there is no evidence that exposure to low-dose radiation causes any cancer—the risk is only theoretical,” or "the risk is utterly negligible,” or "the accidental exposures were below the safe level,” and even "there is reasonably good evidence that exposure to low-dose radiation is beneficial and lowers the cancer rate.” By any reasonable standard of scientific proof, the weight of the human evidence shows decisively that cancer is inducible by ionizing radiation even at the lowest possible dose and dose-rate—which means that the risk is never theoretical.
